Chitra Premier League (CPL) is a community-based cricket event held annually in Karachi, Pakistan, bringing together members of the Chitra community through their shared passion for cricket, sportsmanship and community spirit.
The inaugural season of CPL was launched in 2024, with one season organized each year. The league provides a platform for people from Chitra, Azad Kashmir and different cities across Pakistan to come together, reconnect, build friendships and celebrate their shared roots and traditions.
CPL is organized by a team of dedicated and highly professional individuals from the Chitra community, with the collective support and encouragement of the wider community. Beyond cricket, the league aims to strengthen community bonds, promote positive engagement among people of all ages and create opportunities for young and aspiring cricketers to showcase their talent.
The league follows a player-draft system, in which registered players are selected by different franchise owners to form their respective teams. This system promotes healthy competition, strategic team building, fairness and an exciting sporting environment for players and spectators alike.
Looking ahead, CPL aims to expand its reach progressively, first across Azad Kashmir and eventually to a national level, bringing together a wider network of cricketing talent and communities throughout Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
At its heart, Chitra Premier League represents much more than cricket. It is a celebration of unity, identity, sportsmanship and belonging. We believe that sports have the power to bring people together, bridge differences, strengthen relationships and unite communities through a shared passion and purpose.
Chitra Premier League — One Community, One Passion, One Dream.
